Check out this quick snippet:

“I’m waiting!” His voice rang out from outside the change room. I watched the blood drain from my body in the mirror as I went increasingly paler. I felt completely naked. Literally, my underwear was bigger than that swim suit.

I can’t. I can’t.

“Hello?” Darrien called.

Oh, grow a pair, Cora! I bit my lip, threw on my new bunny hug, and slunk out.

Oh god, this is such a mis-

My jaw hit the floor, and drool may have rolled out.

Darrien was standing there in practically nothing. I mean I didn’t look at…I couldn’t look…down…there. But if I happened to…

If I thought he was defined before, I really had no clue. He was chiselled and defined with deep valleys between his muscles. He was strong…there was no denying that, like someone that knew how to fight.

My favorite were the indents right by his hips; they dipped deep and out of sight, even in that tiny suit. He stood there with his hands on his hips, no shame in the way he was dressed, with an incredulous look on his face.

“I’m out here freezing my nards off, and you’re wearing a hoodie? That’s not the deal that we struck, Humbug. I’m disappointed,” he tutted and shook his head.

Oh, my god. I can’t do this! It’s like stripping for him! I can’t. I can’t. I can’t. I can do it…I’m going to do it. No, I’m not. Why did I agree to this?

Darrien closed the space between us quickly, and I had to avert my eyes to stop from looking him up and down. My face was flaming hot.

“Hey, I was just teasing,” he said, in a soft gentle voice as he rested his hands on my arms. His dimples winked into existence, and he pulled the hood over my head.

“I like the hoodie. It leaves something to the imagination,” he said with a smile as he tugged at the hood strings. My heart sang. He leaned in closer, levelling his eyes on mine.

“And I have a great imagination,” he whispered.
